The SOAR Online Course trains case managers to assist individuals who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and have a mental illness, medical impairment, and/or a co-occurring substance use disorder to apply for the Social Security Administration’s (SSA) disability programs: Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). 
Upon successful completion of the practice case component of the course, you will receive a certificate of completion and 20 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).

Child Welfare Training Collaborative is a partnership between the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services and the Georgia State University School of Social Work Professional Excellence Program. CWTC offers training and community engagement activities throughout the state. If you would like to schedule a class in your community please email us at cwtc@gsu.edu

The program promotes collaboration, provides networking opportunities, and helps create a common understanding about issues that affect children and youth who have experienced abuse and neglect.

The training’s are offered FREE of charge, and CEU’s are available for MSW, LMFT, LPC, POST, FVIP, DECAL & Babies Can’t Wait – Project SCEIs in Area 1 | Children and Families – Birth to 8 et al.
