The Georgia Department of Community Affairs will host three Diversion Trainings the week of April 15th. These trainings will be provided by Jonathan Cox, Senior Associate with t3. Details and registration information are provided below. Please share the training announcement with your staff and colleagues. Each training will cover the same material so there is no need to register for more than one training. Be aware that there is limited space in these trainings so please register soon. We hope to see you there!

This Training:

Diversion is a strategy that prevents homelessness at the front door by helping individuals and families identify immediate alternate housing arrangements and, if necessary, connecting them with services and financial assistance to help them return to permanent housing. Diversion programs can reduce the number of families becoming homeless, the demand for shelter beds, and the size of program wait lists. This training is designed to provide an overview of the concept of diversion, a demonstration of the process of diversion, information on how your role relates to diversion and an overview of what diversion resources are available in your community.

Who Should Attend:

Agencies should send program managers and directors, and front-line staff.
